This week, I found yet another game at our local consignment store! I just love scoring cheap, FUN finds!
We purchased Clue Jr!
Sadly, I didn’t get any action shots from this week, but we had a BLAST playing! Cheeky and I played 2 rounds first, and then later in the evening, Baba joined us for a round! Cheeky beat BOTH DH and I He was a pro by the time it came to the family round LOL!!
This is a fun version of a classic! I always LOVED Clue and couldn’t wait to have a family to play it with! Clue Jr is great for preschoolers and young elementary age kiddos who aren’t quite ready for Clue!
The version pictured above is the version we purchased. It’s Clue Jr, Case of the Missing Toys. I believe it’s one of the ‘older’ versions of Clue Jr. The ones I find online are Clue Jr. Case of the Missing Cake. I get so disappointed going into stores looking for games lately…you can’t find the ‘good’ versions of the games anymore. At Target tonight, even looking for regular Clue proved to be difficult. They have the more expensive ‘weird’ editions…what ever happened to regular old Clue?! Regular old Battleship?! Stop redoing all the classic games and making them so overpriced for no reason! *steps back off soapbox*
I also managed to find another great game I remember playing with my family every week. We loved it as much as we hated it…I can steal hear my brothers squeaky voice saying “SORRY!” *shudder* LOL! I love my brother and my family, but that game brought out the worst in us! ROFL!!
The consignment shop had this cute Disney version of the classic game, and while I hoped for the classic version itself, the Disney version is just a bonus I am not sure that Cheeky is ready for the game yet, and we still have plenty of other games that will get good use right now, but it was such a steal, I couldn’t leave it sitting on the shelf
